LOS ANGELES, CA (BDCi) – The Southern Brazilian actor Emiliano Ruschel took home one of the most prestigious awards given by the Brazilian Film Festival in Los Angeles, LABRFF, “The Best Lead Actor” for his role in the movie “Forever Nevermore” by director Emerson Muzeli.
The actor was nominated in the same category as Soap Opera actor Caio Castro with the film “the Great Victory” and Tuca Andrada, for “Game of chess”. The Lagoense makes history as being the first Gaucho to receive an award from the festival. Since 2008, the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) has helped hundreds of Brazilian films receive commercial distribution, worldwide audience and critical acclaim.
About the Movie
In “Forever Nevermore”, Emiliano stars as Domingos, an impetuous Italian colonist and farmer on the fringe of a civil war. His rocky relationship with his wife Luisa is shaken even further by the appearance of a soldier and a secret that threatens to destroy everything Domingos holds dear in life.
Ruschel is currently filming “Alesia” (www.alesiatheseries.com), a series set to air in early 2015. He stars as Christian, a reclusive former marine that now works for the DEA to investigate the kidnapping of a Brazilian woman in Germany. In addition to that, the actor will be filming a movie entitled “New Age”, a sci-fi thriller where Emiliano stars as George, a British-Brazilian CEO of Cyber Mind, a company responsible for neural trip technology.
Who is Emiliano Ruschel?
He started his career at age 5 doing commercials, stage plays, and eventually transitioned to television and cinema. He has worked on internationally acclaimed films such as “VIPs”, directed by Oscar-nominated director and producer Fernando Meirelles [City of God], “Streets of Rio” [screened at Cannes] and “Revenge” [screened at the Berlin Film Festival]. The actor lives in Hollywood, where he is developing his career as an international actor.
