George Zimmerman: new details
SANFORD, FL (BDCi) – New details of the confrontation that took place between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin have been surfacing, including information from police reports as well as neighbors’ eye witness accounts of what took place.
Documents containing these details were released to Zimmerman’s attorneys.
According to police reports, Zimmerman’s face was swollen and his back was wet when officers arrived on scene.
One nearby resident says she saw two men chasing each other, before a fistfight broke out.
Another resident says he saw a “black male mounted on the white or Hispanic male and throwing punches.”
An autopsy report shows that Martin had traces of cannabis in his system at the the time of his death, confirming media reports that he was in Sanford because he had been suspended from school in Miami for possession of cannabis.
The report also mentions that Martin’s death could have been “ultimately avoidable” had Zimmerman stayed in his car and awaited police.
