West Hollywood closes streets for Halloween Carnaval
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA (BDCi) – Nearly a half-million people are expected to swarm the streets of West Hollywood Monday night for the 2011 Halloween Carnaval.
Some streets were already closed Monday morning, but more are expected to be shut down starting at noon.
The closures include: Santa Monica Boulevard from Doheny Drive and La Cienega Boulevard; San Vincente Boulevard between Cynthia Street and Melrose Avenue; Robertson Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue; and La Cienega Boulevard between Holloway Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard.
The Carnaval runs from 6 p.m to 11 p.m. Monday.
This year’s theme is “Become Your Other.” There will be live music and lots of costumes to look at.
