USC boosts safety after students’ deaths
EXPOSITION PARK, CA (BDCi) – Police are working with USC officials to ad safety measures to the school following the shooting deaths of graduate students Ying Wu and Ming Qu.
The university will work with LAPD and the city of Los Angeles to improve safety for both faculty and students.
The number of public safety patrol cars and officers in the neighborhood will increase.
USC has also invested in more video cameras, license plate recognition cameras and even “security ambassadors” who will patrol the streets that border the campus.
There will also be websites and seminars to teach students about safety.
