Southland deals with windy conditions again
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (BDCi) – Residents in some parts of the Southland are dealing with windy conditions once again, but these winds are not as intense as the ones three weeks ago.
Winds were strong in Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday morning. Gust up to 70 mph have been reported in some areas. The winds are expected to blow on and off through Friday.
A wind warning is in effect through 2 p.m Friday for the following areas: the Ventura County coastal and interior valleys, the Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area, the Los Angeles County Mountains (excluding the Santa Monica Range), the Ventura County Mountains and the Santa Clarita Valley.
A high wind warning expires at 1 p.m Friday for the Orange County coastal areas, and at noon Friday for the San Bernardino County Mountains, the San Bernardino and Riverside County valleys and the Santa Ana Mountains and foothills.
Elsewhere, a wind advisory has been issued through 2 p.m Friday for the Ventura County coast, the Los Angeles County Coast (including Downtown Los Angeles), the San Fernando Valley and the San Gabriel Valley.
