Parents react to Sandy Hook shoot
Los Angeles (BDCi) – After the shooting in Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Con., Friday morning, parents from all over the nation have expressed their feelings on the 28 that died, including 20 children.

The gunman was identified as Adam Lanza of 20-years of age.

Reports have indicated that he went at least into two classes shooting multiple times at students and staff. Those killed were between 6 to 56 years-old.

“I’ve been really, really emotional,” expressed Kennedy to the Daily Bulletin. Kennedy, whose daughter in kindergarten at Center Elementary School in Rancho Cucamonga added that she felt sad for the little kids.

But parents of students are not the only ones expressing their condolences, the gunman’s father, Peter Lanza, whose ex-wife was also killed at the scene, released a statement Saturday saying, “Our family is grieving along with all those who have been affected by this enormous tragedy…”

Another parent in San Bernardino also spoke to the Daily Bulletin. “It must be horrific to find out that some whack job was able to just walk in and slaughter babies in the school your kids go to.”

Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District, John Deasy, said in a statement released on Friday, that more than 200 police officers secure LAUSD across the city on a daily basis.

Despite security reinforcements some parents don’t feel schools are safe. A parent from Jasper Middle School in Rancho Cucamonga also expressed her views saying, “I don’t think any school is safe anymore. You never know which random crazy person might be close by.”

As more evidence and testimonies begin to emerge more information on the reason behind this shooting will surface.
