Man sets fire to hotel room after fleeing officers LOS ANGELES (BDCi) – A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson Saturday morning after setting a bathrobe on fire in a hotel room. The man is said to have locked himself up and committed the crime in a room at the J.W. Marriott near the L.A. Live complex in downtown Los Angeles. Police were called to the hotel around 10:30 a.m. as soon as they heard news of a man confronting security personnel.

Police said the man was not staying at the luxurious hotel but still lead them to the third floor where he locked himself up in a room.

The man was later detained as firefighters controlled the blaze.
Two people were taken to the hospital because of the incident, yet there is no information as to how they were hurt.
