LOS ANGELES (BDCi) — The second largest city in the U.S. Los Angeles is well known all over the world for being the “City of Angels”.
With a population of about four million people, L.A. is the most populated and one of the most multicultural counties.
The city is the center of business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, technology, and education of the world.
As the home base of Hollywood, it is known as the “Entertainment Capital of the World”, leading the world in the creation of motion pictures, television production, video games, and recorded music.
The importance of the entertainment business to the city has led many celebrities to call Los Angeles and its surrounding suburbs home. Besides entertainment, Los Angeles made history by hosting the 1932 and 1984 Summer Olympics.
The city is also home to renowned universities such as the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles.
Among all the great activities you can find in Los Angeles, you should try your best to visit its great beaches, the Griffith Observatory, Getty Center, Grauman’s Chinese Theater, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Watts Towers, Channel Islands and Catalina Island.
