SÃO PAULO (BDCi) – A worker was killed during the construction of a prestigious monorail in São Paulo when part of the project collapsed.
At least two others were also injured in the accident.
The 11-mile monorail was supposed to connect the Congohas airport to three metro lines, but is one of the several behind-schedule projects that will not be completed in time for the World Cup.
Eight other workers have died during World Cup constructions in Brazil’s 12 host cities.
