BELO HORIZONTE (BDCi) – A large street clash took place early Saturday (21) between mostly Brazilian and Argentinean fans.
The two groups of fans exchanged insults and threw bottles at each other.
According to police, the incident occurred at 2 a.m. in Belo Horizonte, where Argentina beat Iran 1-0 on Sunday (22).
A video shows a few dozen fans from Argentina waving their national flag and tossing beer bottles at Brazilian fans less than 200 feet away.
The Brazil fans threw back their own bottles while other fans took cover.
It is unclear who began the fight and police would not confirm if anyone had been arrested.
No injuries were reported.
