(BDCi) — Barcelona forward Neymar hopes to make a timely return to action for his side’s Primera Division title decider against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
The Brazilian has missed Barca’s last four games with a left foot injury he sustained in the Copa del Rey final loss to Real Madrid.
However, after a month on the sidelines, he is now hopeful he can give his club a boost ahead of their winner-take-all clash on Saturday.
“I’m in the final stretch in terms of recovery and I’ll see if I can play (on Saturday) when I’m back to training,” Neymar said in quotes reported by Marca.
If Barca wins in their final game of the season, they will be crowned champions ahead of current leaders Atletico by virute of a better head-to-head record, with the two teams drawing in their league meeting at Vicente Calderon earlier this season.
“We’re really ready for this,” Neymar added. “Atletico have a great team, great players will be hard to defeat, but we have no other choice but to go out and win.”
