AMBER ALERT: Boy abducted from church shelter in California
ATASCADERO, CALIF. (BDCi) –A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a 4-year-old boy who was kidnapped from a church shelter Friday morning.
Jeremy Guthrie, 4, was abducted from the First Baptist Church Shelter around 4:30 a.m., according to the Atascadero Police Department. Authorities believe the boy was taken by another shelter resident, 52-year old Annette Hale. The boy’s mother, who also lives at the shelter, got into a fight with Hale Thursday night, police said.
Jeremy is 3 feet, 5 inches tall, 33 pounds, white, and has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a camouflage T-shirt and carrying a Spider-Man blanket.
Hale is described as a white female, 5 feet 4 inches tall and was last seen with her brown hair in a bun and wearing a white tank top. Officials say Hale may be traveling with Jeremy on foot.
