BEVERLY HILLS, CA (BDCi)–His Excellency Ambassador Bruno Bath, the new General-Consul of Brazil in Los Angeles, was received by American and Brazilian entrepreneurs this last Friday in the city of angels.

A private luncheon was sponsored by the Brazil California Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) to give a warm welcome to the new Ambassador and the Secretary Leonardo Valverde Corrêa da Costa, Head of the Commercial Sector.

About 67 business persons were present at the event, among them: Julie Anne Hennessy, Director of the US Commercial Service, Norman Arikawa, Assistant Director at International Trade Development Manager of the port of Los Angeles, Matthew Karatz, Director of the Office of Economic & Business Policy of the city of Los Angeles, Brian Chuchua with Pousada in Brazil, Alexis Rhyner with Mellow Translations, Peter Taborr, Vivian Hanover, Carolina Cabral e Alex Nascimento com 7 Marketing Media, Rodney with Alves Videla & Associates, Marisol Herrera, Sales Executive with Copa Airlines and lawyer Ana Nicacio with Legal & Business Solutions, who traveled from Portland just for this event.

In a speech, the Ambassador thanked everyone in attendance and added: ” I feel like a celebrity already” he said in joking way. “I feel at home already, due to the great affection shown by the Brazilian community here in Los Angeles.”

And finally Bath raised a toast congratulating everyone.

Angela Rosenbach, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, along with her committe Sheila Shanker, Judit Nicolello, and Claudia Powell, are responsible for monthly events in order to bolster the business ties between Brazil and the United States.
