Male prostitutes in Castaic caught in police sting CASTAIC (BDCI)—A minimum of 16 men have been arrested as part of a Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department effort to control a growing prostitution problem in Castaic, confirmed officials Friday. The sting was held on Thursday near Castaic Road, where mostly truck drivers are located, according to a statement released by the Sheriff’s Department. The men were arrested on suspicion of intent to commit prostitution as well as for loitering.
The release also said that the sting operation is the second in Castaic this year. In February of this year, 18 people were arrested on suspicion of soliciting prostitution and interfering with a peace officer; One suspect was also held in for sexual battery.
