Man Arrested for Feeding Pigeons Burbank (BDCi) – Charles Douglas, 59, was arrested Friday after continuously feeding pigeons outside his business in spite of a city ordinance forbidding it, reports KTLA. Burbank police claim that Douglas, who was booked for public nuisance and suspicion of disobeying a court order, violated a municipal code against feeding pigeons. Police also claim that Douglas’s repeated feeding poses a threat to the Bob Hope Airport nearby, which has reported an increase in bird strikes from just one incident every few months to five occurrences in July. Douglas could face up to six months in prison and/or a fine of $1,000 if he is found guilty.
Douglas had already been given two court citations as of July 31 as well as a bench warrant for feeding the pigeons.
